Back in 2018 I became involved in a project with a group of historians from Nottinghamshire called the Field Detectives. They had found an unusual form of shot, which became known as the ‘Langar Studded Shot’ and wanted to identify the shot and work out what type of weapon might have fired it. In conjunction with the Royal Armouries Leeds we eventually did just that. The booklet here is the result of the analysis of the projectile and it is available to buy for £12.50, which includes postage within the UK. Please get in touch if you want a copy. 49 pages.
